This lesson was developed as part of Missouri's eMINTS Project (enhancing Missouri's Instructional Networked Teaching Strategies). This lesson could also be used with third grade students. The extension activities on the Conclusion page could be used for more advanced students.
Learners
This lesson is anchored in fourth grade communication arts but also involves some math skills. Students will be conducting online research, preparing nutritional desserts, reviewing and rating recipes, computing ratings & calculating average ratings, and writing a persuasive letter.
